Full Job Description

There will also be opportunities for close collaboration with UTC Plymouth (Ofsted Good 2023) as its partner school., We are recruiting a Classroom Technician to join our team in the Health & Wellbeing Faculty who will complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for the effective running of support systems for the school. This will include the PE, Design Technology, Engineering and Food.Technology departments.

Your duties will include:

  • Support students and assisting the department to help develop curriculum provision

  • Support a variety of teaching activities

  • Responsibility for management of curriculum stock levels and resources

  • Setting up, checking and maintaining equipment

  • Providing advise to staff and students of the safe operation of equipment

    You will be a passionate advocate of equality and committed to raising standards, raising aspirations and facilitating the real-life chances of the next generation. You are tenacious, enjoy a challenge and are dedicat3ed to your own professional development as a means of providing the best to our young people and our team. You will understand the importance of "soft skill" development as a means of developing the whole individual alongside a strong drive for academic excellence.


  • In addition, you will need:
  • NVQ 4 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline

  • Specialist background in one or more of the following - Physical Education or Sports; Food Technology, Nutrition or Catering; Design & Technology; Engineering
