Full Job Description

As an Accounts and Audit Senior, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS standards.

  • Audit Management: Lead and execute audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and auditing standards.

  • Client Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely and insightful advice on financial matters.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.

  • Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, applying knowledge to enhance audit processes and client service delivery.

  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks within client engagements, implementing appropriate controls and procedures to mitigate potential issues.

  • Project Management: Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of audit documentation, adhering to internal quality control procedures and regulatory requirements.

    Professional Qualification: Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with significant post-qualification experience in audit and accounting.

  • Audit Experience: Demonstrated experience leading and executing audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.

  • Technical Competence: Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and auditing standards, with the ability to apply principles effectively in a variety of scenarios.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels.

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

  • Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.

  • Leadership Skills: Previous experience supervising and mentoring junior staff members, guiding them to achieve their full potential.

  • IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
