Activity Leader - Summer School

Working as a Summer School Activity Leader allows you to earn more than just money. You'll gain the transferable skills that future employers are looking for. You'll enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new challenges. We can even support you with accommodation.

Our school in Northampton focuses on STEM, therefore if you have an interest in STEM-based activities, hobbies or field of study, this is advantageous., Every year, from late June to mid-August, we welcome over 6000 young students (aged 8-17) from different parts of the world to one of our seven centres. Our aim is to provide them with a fun and educational holiday experience, which includes English language classes and engaging activities and excursions. And that's where you come in!

We look for enthusiastic and energetic professionals to join us as Activity Leaders, supporting our students on a wide range of activities and excursions. Activities range from sporting, science, coding, drama, arts to quizzes, discos, fashion shows; the list goes on. Excursions involve leading groups to theme parks, city tours, historical sites etc and you are supported with the materials you need to make these activities/excursions exciting

  Opportunity to gain a CELTA teaching qualification at the end of your contract. Ideal if you want to become a teacher of English as a Foreign Language. T&Cs apply., Lots of confidence and enthusiasm. You don't need to have specific qualification, be an expert in a particular activity or be a good sportsperson, but you must have an interest and the ability to lead the varied activities for groups of young people.


• You must be professional, friendly and have a good understanding of how to support the well-being of young people.


• Be flexible, adaptable, and able to think on your feet


• Be a great communicator with a good level of spoken and written English


• Safeguarding is a big part of the job, and we take it very seriously. So, as you would expect, if successful we will pay for and facilitate an Enhanced DBS check as part of our safer recruitment policy

Contract: 23rd June to 27th July 2024. You must be available for this period. We can support you with board and accommodation if you'd like to stay.

This is full time work, 48 hours per week over 6 days.
