Full Job Description

We are small yet growing family run business selling a unique range of furniture and home accessories online. We are looking for a hardworking and energetic individual to join us in this interesting, varied and active role.

The individual will be required to take on a mixed role which will include general admin duties, assisting with the marketing and helping with daily warehouse activities. Every day will be different.

This is also a very practical and hands on role as the individual will be working closely with the warehouse manager. The role is be based in the warehouse and on the busier days will involve work alongside them to pick and pack online orders and also help to organise the warehouse. Someone who has a 'can do' and get 'stuck in' attitude in the work place is therefore very important.

It is a great opportunity for someone to develop, grow and develop new skills within a growing and young company.

Responsibilities:

- Processing the daily online orders and producing the courier labels when needed.

- Managing the inbox - Responding to customer emails and general enquiries.

- Taking phone calls and solving problems with proper phone etiquette.

- Working with the warehouse manager to pack daily orders when needed.

- Assisting with website updates and maintenance - To include pricing updates, adding new products & writing content, amending pricing, amending stock counts and updating images.

- Marketing duties will include helping to operate our social media platforms, email marketing and helping with photo shoots. Some knowledge and experience of marketing and social media is therefore preferred.

- General warehouse housekeeping duties when required - Helping to move stock, count stock and prepare for deliveries.

Proven experience as an administrative assistant or relevant role preferred.

- Some experience dealing with customers.
- Good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills with a confident phone manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Positive and cheerful attitude, we are a small team, so we all work closely together.

- Experience of using social media channels with an interest in marketing. Experience with producing email campaigns would be useful but not vital.

- You will need a car and drivers licence due to the location of our business (there is no public transport.)

All of the above skills are preferred, however if you are enthusiastic and a quick learner they are not vital.
