Agricultural Bulk Feeds Delivery Driver

The Bulk Feed Delivery Driver is primarily involved with bulk blow operations, predominantly delivering bulk animal feed from the BATA Group mills to farm, collection of bulk raw materials, and farm to farm feed and grain movements.

Experience with bulk blowing operations preferred however role specific training is provided.

On occasion, the post holder will be expected to carry out other duties within the Group Agricultural Operations Department as and when required.

The role requires you to be available to drive any type of vehicle which you are trained and qualified in as required by the BATA Group.

The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service. They will have an eye for detail when completing necessary load / delivery paperwork and be able to work as part of a team and independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking and following instruction from Agricultural Transport Operations Staff


• Safe Driving of a Large Goods Vehicle in accordance with the Highway Code.


• Operating the vehicle tachograph to record hours worked and comply with EU laws and Working Time Directive.


• Safe loading of Agricultural products, feeds etc.


• Security of vehicle, load and sheeting.


• Carrying out a Drivers Daily Walk Round Check, recording and reporting of defects


• Liaising with Mill, LGV Garage, Warehouse and Agricultural Transport Staff.


• Ensuring correct operation of vehicle and equipment to ensure safe delivery / collection of products.


• Adhering to safe working practices and Health and Safety instructions.


• Keeping vehicle clean (inside and out).


• Operating the Weighbridge as required.


• Accurate completion of all necessary load / delivery paperwork.
