Full Job Description

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a driven individual looking to begin their journey as a Finance Professional in our team. You will be offered an apprenticeship training course for AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications. You'll be responsible for some of the key day-to-day functions in the Finance Department such as data entry and management of the Purchase Ledger and Cashflow process. For the right candidate, there is opportunity for this role to develop over time to provide exposure to the whole of the finance function.,

  • Processing Purchase Ledger invoices

  • Weekly payment run preparation

  • Bank payment setup

  • Posting supplier payments

  • Managing supplier queries and remittances

  • Assisting the team with the preparation of the cashflow

  • Assisting with Bank reconciliations

  • Supplier statement reconciliations

  • Setup & maintenance of supplier records

  • Assisting with the preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Assistance with audit deliverables

  • Phoneline cover for the Finance team

  • Other ad hoc, general admin duties

    A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths & English graded 5 and above.

  • As this is a training role, likely to be office based 5 days a week.

  • Beginners level in Excel / MS Office with the mindset to develop your skills further.

  • Self-starter and able to identify & develop solutions.

  • Exemplary attention to detail.

  • Able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
