Full Job Description

As our Apprentice I.T. Asset Management Analyst you will work with other specialists to develop competence in:

  • Plan, monitor, and record software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with stakeholder contracts.

  • Plan and oversee a system-wide IT asset management program.

  • Review purchase requisitions for compliance with IT standards for hardware, software, and vendor selection

  • Create and maintain I.T. asset agreements and license records

  • Organise and hold regular reviews with partners and 3rd party organisations.

  • Ensure the customer experience is always first class.

  • Maintenance of service catalogs, customer portals and pricing/recharge.

  • Analyse asset data and surface key business value insights

  • Able to create effective dashboards to easily communicate key information and progress.

    To hold or predicted 5 GCSE's Grade A-C or 4-9 including English and mathematics.

  • To hold or be predicted a level 2 or equivalent qualification in I.T. at a grade pass or above.

  • An ability to operate basic I.T. packages such as Microsoft programmes and Outlook.

  • An ability to manage your own time and prioritise your own workload.

  • An ability to manage and present data in Excel.


  • You will also benefit from having:
  • A full UK driving licence and/or the ability to travel to our Head Offices in Buttershaw, Bradford on a daily basis.

  • An interest in customer focus and providing an excellent customer experience.

  • The ability to pass the Yorkshire Water Occupational Health Screening Assessment

The I.T. Asset Management Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
    You will join a "business value" focussed IT asset management team, with the opportunity to gain experience of a wide range of market leading solutions (Snow Software, ServiceNow, Microsoft, SolarWinds etc), and supporting the development of a "modern approach" to physical, virtual, mobile and cloud asset management which includes the implementation of enhancements to our existing discovery, monitoring, analysis and reporting capability.

    To assess your skills effectively, our selection process includes an online assessment, assessment centre and a follow up 2nd stage interview with the hiring manager interview if you are successful at the 1st stage assessment centre.
    Closing date: 26th May 2024
    1st stage Assessment centres taking place on 18th or 19th June 2024.
    2nd stage interviews taking place from the 1st to the 5th July.
