Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Attendance Officer to join John Smeaton Academy. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy. The Successful candidate will be expected to support the actions of the Attendance team in improving attendance and punctuality across the Academy and to implement the Academy Attendance Strategy.

  • 5+ GCSE's grade C/4 and above (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.

  • A full, clean driving licence.

  • Knowledge and understanding of key government legislation surrounding attendance.

    John Smeaton Academy was the subject of a divestment order from the Secretary of State and became a part of The GORSE Academies Trust on 1 September 2021. Since this date the academy has undergone a significant transformation that sees it rising in popularity within the local community.
