    JOB DESCRIPTION - Flexibility within this role this can be a job share ie a person doing weekday hours and a person completing weekend hours.

  • Location - Woodlesford - Car driver essential with business insurance fuel will be recompensed from pick up and drop off
    Experience of autism essential
    Hours per week - Monday to Friday 8 hours @ £11.44
    Weekends 7 hours @ £15.44
    Additional 17 weeks @ 20 hours (school holidays) @ £11.44 Monday to FridayTraining will be provided by the council
    DBS completed prior to starting the role
    Two references taken up
    Holiday Entitlement - 5.6 weeks per annum pro-rata
    Job Purpose - To support a young lady with autism and learning difficulties in the community to promote her independence. The lady initially can be quiet and appear anxious especially in busy places but has a happy demeanour but can interpret social cues and misread them.
    She loves food and especially going out for meals, shopping,bowling and the cinema.
    The person would understand autism as she can become overloaded in certain situations. She loves art and has just started therapy sessions. The person would accompany her to People Matters on a Saturday and work some hours during the week. You will liaise with her parents regarding how the hours could be used. Initially it will require a few 'getting to know you' sessions in the home. Some hours would be used in the home helping her to cook or bake to help towards her independence which she is already doing this at school, so would be beneficial to carry that forward.
    She likes technology ie using her phone,IPad is a keen gamer and loves anime and Manga. She has a dog, a Cockapoo called Reggie who she adores.
    She loves beanies and has lots of bears.
    The person supporting her will have experience of working with people with autism understand how her behaviour impacts on her and others and understand confidentiality.
