The Bid Support Officer's role is to aid the tender team in the delivery of key bids, tenders, and information request activities between clients and internal consultants.
Role Brief
Production of Proposals and Completion of Client Documents.
The Bid Support Officer will aid primarily in the delivery of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, and Supplier Questionnaires but will also be required to support the creation of tender proposals and bespoke fee proposals for both private and public sector clients.
This may include but not limited to:

  • Employee CVs,

  • Employee Bios,

  • Short written responses.


  • The role requires a pro-active task focused individual, who will liaise with all key stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of the information. The Bid Support Officer may also be asked to send the final proposal directly to the client, where this is the case it must first be reviewed either by the Project Manager/ Director or the Bid Advisor.
    Tender Library Content Creation
    The Bid Support Officer may be required to work with the Bid Advisor on the creation of content that is not currently available in the business. In this case the Bid Support Officer will need to work strictly to brand guidelines working closely with the Marketing team and Bid Advisor to create the content. It is expected that all key stakeholders involved in the production of the content will be held accountable.
    Tender Library Maintenance
    The Bid Support Officer will help in the creation and collection of information for the Tender Library. The Tender Library contain key documents and information to enable efficient replies to clients with information. The library will be accessible by all key stakeholders in the management team and must remain up to date, as well as adhere to brand guidelines for all documents.
    The library will need to be kept as an easy to navigate tool and outdated collateral must be archived in order to prevent incorrect documents being sent to clients in error.

  • Basic bank details

  • Basic company details


  • Insurance documents

  • Health & Safety Statement and Policy

  • Basic marketing collateral

  • Company information such as locations, addresses, key contacts

  • Company Directory

  • Company Profile

  • GDPR Statement and Policy

  • Specialist services bio


  • It is expected that the Bid Support Officer will not only be proficient in using and navigating the Tender Library but also will aid in the growth of the resources within it.
    Brand Ambassador
    The Bid Support Officer is expected to be a BB7 brand ambassador and lead by example when creating and formatting documents. All documents created must be checked by the Bid Advisor or Marketing Director to ensure compliance with the brand guidelines. Amendments to any Client Facing Collateral documents must be done by the Marketing Director or wider team. The Bid Support Officer and Bid Advisor will work closely and will seek improvements in every aspect of the role the Tender Team provides and come forward with suggestions to strengthen BB7s brand and reputation for client satisfaction.
    Management of PQQs an SQs
    The Bid Support Officer will be a key figure in the completion and submission of all PQQs and SQs for the whole of BB7. This includes the completion of PQQs and SQs in all formats including word, Pdf, Excel and online. The Bid Support Officer will liaise with the key internal employees to ensure the PQQs and SQs submitted are relevant to the department or project they are required for, are submitted on time and to a highest standard including working to brand guidelines and auditing process. It is imperative that the Bid Support Officer builds a knowledge base quickly in the role by spending time with key areas of the business and Bid Advisor to enable a sound knowledge base.

  • Experience in bids or tenders preferred but not required as training will be provided,

  • Degree in English Language or Literature or other relevant degree, preferred but not required if the candidate has previous experience,

  • Strong administration and communication skills,

  • Excellent written skills and telephone manner

  • An ability to maintain confidentiality with all company information and materials,

  • Flexible and Agile approach,


  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage tenders of varying size and value (including large value/complex tenders), precise scheduling and multiple and shifting priorities.
