Full Job Description

You will be mentored by several experienced colleagues to assist with your development. You will also have opportunities to become involved with hands-on craft & production tasks.

You will be required, and trained, to complete the following tasks:

  • Use of business software - Sage, Microsoft Office etc

  • General administration works for both Sales & Production

  • Signage design work

  • Quotation work

  • Minute taking

  • Customer follow-up emails

  • Customer presentations

  • Customer design meetings

    Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
  • You will attend college every 6 week for a face-to-face activity day with other apprentices, college transport is available

  • You will have regular workplace observations and progress reviews with your college instructor-mentor as well as training in the workplace

    Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Administrative skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, An interest in the industry, Ability to learn from peers, A desire to learn, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C or above) Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C or above) Essential
    Other Any design qualification (Grade Any) Desired, The candidate should have an interest in design and be willing to learn. This will be a varied role that could ultimately develop and progress in many different directions. Please carefully consider how you will get to work each day.

    We design, manufacture and install architectural metalwork (canopies/veranda's etc) and a wide range of cast signage. Our products are mainly used within the UK - but we regularly export overseas. Over the years we have collaborated with renown architects and designers to deliver bespoke products for diverse applications from private houses through to luxury hotels.

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Working week

  • Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm. Your working time will include off-the-job training such as attending college., You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
