  • Procurement is defined as; sourcing, negotiating, and buying of goods, materials, and services to meet the company's operational requirements. You will be the driving force at the forefront towards ensuring we remain recognised in the marketplace as the benchmark provider of quality vitamins, minerals and supplement products, services, and innovation.

    As a Buyer, your duties are of paramount importance. You will be accountable for the full end-to-end sourcing and supply process. You will support business stakeholders by leading and executing tendering, negotiating, contracting, and contract management activities. Significantly, you will ensure that operational needs are met by identifying and leading opportunities to drive performance in supply, cost, quality, innovation, and risk.,
  • Identifying the organisations purchasing needs.

  • Researching, selecting, and purchasing quality products and materials.

  • Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescales.

  • Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders.

  • Updating inventory and managing stock levels.

  • Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.

  • Understanding the target market and analysing trends in order to make informed buying decisions.

  • Monitoring the stock quality and escalating any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

  • Analyse consumer buying patterns and predict future trends.

  • Regularly review performance indicators, such as sales and discount levels.

  • Keep up to date with market trends and react to changes in demand and logistics.

  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products.

  • Understand the basic rules of vendor management, allocation, and price negotiation.

  • Liaise with other departments within the organisation to ensure projects are completed.

  • When applicable, attend trade fairs, in the UK and overseas, to select and assemble a new collection of products.

  • Coach, mentor & provide training assistance across the purchasing team.


  • To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the industry's best practice with tenacious characteristics to exceed expectation.,
  • Located in Hemswell Cliff, Lincolnshire - we are commutable from Lincoln, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Gainsborough, & Doncaster areas.

    A degree is not essential for this role, however, evidence of related field qualifications and/or evidenced of experience in best practice procurement within relevant categories.

  • Commercially astute analyst with a strong understanding of leveraging operating efficiencies to gain added value from suppliers and logistics partners.

  • Experienced in category management and development of sourcing strategies.

  • Excellent negotiating skills and dealing with contracts of varying values, complexities and managing supplier Service Level Agreements.

  • Evidence of working in an environment where supply is driven by analysing market trends to determine the most competitive prices.

  • Ability to effectively manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.

  • A professional approachable personality that translates well across all communication methods & reporting methods.

  • A people centric person who has the ability to quickly build & develop a professional rapport with stakeholders.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications & CRM systems.

  • Project management and organisational skills.

  • Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities with the ability to think strategically using initiative and confidence.

  • A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Continuous improvement mind set.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team or individually unsupervised and deliver quality work across multiple tasks within required deadlines.
