Children's Social Worker

WorkwithYork are working with our York based public sector client to recruit a qualified Children's Social Worker, to work with children and young people with disabilities and their families.

This is a temporary, full time assignment, initially for three months, with flexible hybrid working.

You'll be part of a supportive team and when office based you'll work from offices in central York and/or at a children's residential setting in a York suburb.

This role involves:

Managing an allocated social work caseload of child in need, safeguarding and cases within PLO Family and Deprivation of Liberty Proceedings.
Undertaking assessments.
Implementing and reviewing plans within a signs of safety and signs of wellbeing framework.
Using case recording systems (ideally Mosaic) .

Have a Social Work Qualification: CQSW, Dip. SW, CSS or equivalent.
Be SWE registered.
Have experience with working with child in need, and safeguarding cases, and with children with disabilities.
Be resilient, compassionate and hard working with good communications skills.
Have at least two years post qualification experience.
Be eligible to work in the UK.
Hold a current valid DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check.
Have a valid UK driving license.
