Full Job Description

Due to an internal promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen at our Crewe Manufacturing Facility for a full time (38 hours per week) CNC Machinist (Milling) to join our team.,

  • Set, load & operate a 3 Axis Dugard Milling machine with a siemens control panel.

  • Understand and be confident to edit programs & CAM cycles.

  • Be proactive to maximize efficiency while maintaining 100% quality through independent & validation checks.

  • Work closely with the manufacturing engineers to improve quality and cycle time.

  • A team player who wants the best for the customer and the team.


    • Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and a can do attitude. Some of the main tasks will include:
  • To work within standard operating procedures.

  • To set and operate CNC Milling machine to produce components to company procedures following work instructions.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances.

  • Ensure all relevant quality checks are carried out and recorded.

  • Ensure that all job cards have the relevant materials issued to them.

    Experience with editing programs


  • Experience of dealing with die castings


  • Previous Experience working with multi axis CNC machines


  • Experience working in a similar role, in a manufacturing or engineering environment


  • Ability to follow plans with minimum supervision


  • Must be efficient and have excellent attention to detail


    • Desirable skills:
  • Previous Experience working with raw castings

    Mornings - Monday to Thursday 0600 to 1400, Friday 0600 to 1200 noon


    • Afternoons - Monday to Thursday 1400 to 2200, Friday 1200 noon to 1800

    Pay: From £14.50 per hour

    Expected hours: 38 per week
