Full Job Description

The Learning Content team design and develop a range of off-the-shelf digital, blended, and classroom training (virtual and face to face) courses, as well as bespoke design and delivery of learning programmes. We work with a wide client base across all sectors and we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team.

The purpose of this role is to provide project management support to the KPMG Learning Content team. The role will involve managing client and internal projects to a successful delivery.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure learning projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Managing learning projects of varying scale and complexity, including ability to work with Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Manage blended project teams (onshore and offshore), including external third parties

  • Assist in definition of project scope, objectives, commercial requirements, resource planning and allocation

  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress, including managing day to day tasking and resource availability/planning

  • Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and budget, including providing recommendations when escalating to Delivery Manager and key stakeholders

  • Monitor and report on performance metrics with regular status reporting

  • Identify, capture and escalate risks and issues, with recommendations on mitigation options

  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (KPMG clients, external clients, third party vendors etc)

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Comprehensive financial management, including budget, WIP, and forecasting (cost to complete)

  • Act as a knowledge base and manage the relationship between finance, project, and service delivery teams

  • Support training and guidance on Project Management skills

  • Continuously challenge ways of working to ensure continuous improvement within the PM Capability

    Understanding of learning product development cycle

  • Managing competing agendas/priorities and establish achievable learning programmes/projects

  • Experienced in creating, critiquing, monitoring and reporting on budgets

  • Experienced in resource planning including identifying skills mix, and forecasting and planning for resource gaps and bottlenecks

  • Experience of governance, risk and engagement processes

  • Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity

  • Confident in communication with senior stakeholders

  • Skilled in developing communication strategies for different stakeholder groups

  • Report to and demonstrate diplomacy when managing key stakeholders

  • Adept at working closely with technical and delivery teams

  • Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities

  • Experience using project management tools (eg. MS Project, Clarizen, JIRA etc.)

  • A project management qualification would be beneficial but not essential
