Full Job Description

Installing electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment. Installing safety and distribution components. Installation Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm systems, Visit sites to survey work and materials, followed by a survey write up (report)

  • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems

  • Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)

  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components

  • Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them

  • Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.

  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units

  • Installation, and commissioning of Access Control Systems, CCTV and Fire Alarm or related equipment

  • Create site specific RAMS documentation

  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

  • Covering out of hours On-Call on a rota basis

    The ideal candidate should:

  • Be an 18^th edition qualified electrician with at least NVQ Level 3

  • Have 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification

  • Show ability tp manage own workload, to be thorough and pay attention to detail

  • Be Adaptabile and flexibile

  • Have excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and customers

  • Possess a full UK driving license

  • Be willing to work overtime.


  • Please note this role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, completed after interview.

    Desirable skills and qualifications:
  • Experience with commercial and industrial electrical installation

  • EV Charging

  • ECS Approved Electrician Gold Card

  • PASMA Tower

  • AM2E

  • IPAF Dual

  • CCNSG Safety Passport

    Package:

  • £39,500 per annum

  • 25 days annual leave plus public holidays

  • Hours are 8am to 3:45pm Monday to Friday with a 45-minute lunch break

  • Uniform

  • Vehicle (Ford Transit).


  • Overtime Structure:

    The successful candidate will be required to carry out one week's out of hours on call on a rotation basis, hours covered are from 4:45pm till 9am the next morning Monday to Thursday and weekend cover from 5pm Friday until 9am Monday.

    They will receive an on-call payment of £100 per week when scheduled to be on call. For all call outs, rates will be paid at time and a half for all time including travel time. Hours worked on Saturday after 7pm, on Sundays and on bank holidays will be paid at double time.
