You would be responsible for a variety of tasks in the Financial Accounting team for the UK and Ireland, and as the business is growing quickly, the role will require adaptability due to an ever evolving change in business requirements.

In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, with a focus on the monthly closing process.,

  • Month-End Efficiency: You will be responsible for performing month-end tasks and journals in a timely and accurate manner, contributing to a smooth and efficient closing process.

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation Expertise: You will meticulously analyse and reconcile monthly balance sheets, identifying and resolving any discrepancies with a focus on accuracy.

  • Audit Readiness: You will actively support internal and external audits throughout the year, assisting with the preparation of audit schedules, liaising with auditors, and addressing their inquiries effectively.

  • Statutory Compliance: You will contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts for UK entities, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Quarterly Reporting Support: You will collaborate with the team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of quarterly reporting requirements.

  • Project Participation: You will have the opportunity to contribute to ad-hoc finance projects, applying your skills and knowledge to further enhance the success of the business.

To be successful in this role, you'll be actively pursuing an advanced accounting qualification (ACCA/ ACA/CIMA or equivalent) and possess strong technical accounting skills with a thorough understanding of IFRS. While experience preparing financial statements is a plus, we're eager for a fast learner who can leverage their practical accounting experience in a fast-paced environment. You'll also be proficient in Excel (at least at an intermediate level) and have excellent time management and communication skills to navigate a dynamic workload and collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.
