Full Job Description

  • Daily use of hand, power, and precision measuring tools.

  • Assemble complex machinery with the use of drawings.

  • Setting up the equipment used to allow for the several types of materials used.

  • Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.

  • Conduct daily checks on all equipment used.

  • Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management staff.

    They are now looking for and an experienced Fitter- Assembler who has experience of assembling Engineering Machinery equipment to a high standard., Ability to Assemble Machinery equipment.

  • Perform safety-related functions.

  • Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power).

  • Competent in welding techniques.

  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot.

  • Proficient in understanding and reading drawings.

  • Be proactive and have a positive attitude.

  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.

  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

  • Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.

  • To be able to use Overhead Crane Equipment (training given)

  • To be competent in the use of certain Hand Tools such as Electrical Grinders and Electric Drills.

  • To be able to use Overhead Crane Equipment (training given).


  • Qualifications required:
  • City & Guilds or relevant experience

  • Apprentice trained in engineering.

  • EITB Qualification Fitting - Assembly Qualification

  • Bench Fitting Qualification / Experience.

  • Level 2 diploma or a level 3 diploma in engineering

  • Experience with how to implement safe working practices.

  • Health & Safety qualifications preferred.
