Freelance Joiner / Carpenter

As we enter one of our peak activity periods we are looking for a freelance joiner to supplement our core production and delivery teams.

Ideally, you will have experience of working in live event, exhibition and retail environments and will be familiar with related production processes and used to working with resistant materials including wood, plastics and metal.

This is an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced joiner/carpenter to support Kokoon's delivery of turnkey projects over the coming months.

Our joiners work at every stage of a live job combining in house and outsourced build elements into a test final assembly prior to being involved in installation and de-rig at clients' sites. These are mostly UK but can be in mainland Europe also.

Kokoon's output ranges from simple and small to complex internal and external non construction structures used in retail, live events and exhibitions - so think plinths through bespoke retail installations to the fit out of a 2 storey hospitality suite.

You will work as an integral part of Kokoon's production team and need to be able effectively communicate with colleagues across the business to follow production and design specifications. We expect everyone involved in production to be capable of recognising and calling out challenges on projects to provide the opportunity to improve output and mitigate costs and/or errors.
