Furnace Operator / Trainee

· To support the Furnace Supervisor in the running and checking of the furnaces

· Able to work days, weekends and nights when required

· Start up and shut down furnace

· Monitor and adjust furnace control panel as and when required

· Deal with any production faults

· Change miller screens, clean out vacuums and filters

· Monitor readings running levels for the type of glass flake required

· Communicate & liaise with R & D engineers & manager

· Ensure production targets are reached & record average stats and totals produced

· Good health and safety ethic

· Hard working and reliable

· Basic computer literacy, excel, internal software systems for data logging.

· Basic understanding of electrical systems
