Groundworker / bricklayer

Construct and repair walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones
- Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or specifications
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using trowels
- Align bricks or stones and finish joints using jointing tools
- Cut or shape bricks, stones, or blocks using hammers, chisels, or power saws
- Clean and polish surfaces of finished workpieces
- Install firebrick linings in industrial furnaces

Proficient in bricklaying techniques and methods
- Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and construction materials
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Note: Experience in heavy equipment operation, plastering, trim carpentry, stucco application, tile laying, metal stud framing, or carpentry is a plus.
