As a selective all-girls school in the heart of Exeter, The Maynard has an enviable record of outstanding results matched with a genuinely warm and friendly spirit. We provide a happy, secure and supportive environment where every child's individuality and talents can shine through.
The Economics and Business Studies Department delivers A level Economics and A level Business Studies, following the Edexcel and AQA exam boards respectively. Subjects are a popular choice for Maynard pupils and the department has a strong profile in the Sixth Form. There are two members of staff, but the Head of Department is the main teacher. There is currently one set of each subject in the Lower 6 and Upper 6.
There is one main teaching classroom, located in the Sixth Form Centre, with an interactive screen and whiteboard and each teacher is provided with a laptop.
