Head Server

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Server to join our team in providing exceptional service to our customers. As the Head Server, you will be responsible for overseeing the front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction., Manage and coordinate the activities of the serving staff
- Train new servers on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer interaction
- Ensure efficient seating arrangements and timely table turnover
- Take orders and serve food and beverages to customers
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely delivery
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies, such as cutlery, glassware, and condiments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures

Further to this, one of your responsibilities will be maintaining a clean, orderly dining area. Your insightful attention to detail will ensure our dining spaces are ever-ready for service, reflecting the graceful decor, and sophisticated, warm ambiance that Alma de Cuba is renowned for.

To succeed in this role, you must have at least one year of experience in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting, showcasing your profound knowledge of customer service. Your eagerness to go above and beyond, along with your ability to manage high-volume service with a positive, professional attitude, will be highly valued., Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary terminology is an advantage
