The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our expanding team. Barnsley CAMHS is situated within New Street Health Centre and are currently on a journey of rapid improvement. We provide advice and support to children, young people, families, carers, and a wide range of professionals regarding emotional and mental health.

Staff wellbeing is at the heart of Barnsley CAMHS and our recent staff survey results reflects this you will be supported to flourish in your role and have access to regular managerial and clinical supervision. We will support your professional development in a truly rewarding role help shape the lives of our young people here in Barnsley., The role of the HCSW is varied and exciting. You will support our qualified practitioners deliver care and interventions across the service. This may be in the crisis team or at the front door of our service with the triaging and gathering of information; to ensure young people get access to the right support from the right service as soon as possible. We work collaboratively with our colleagues CompassBe and work together in Branching Minds- our one front door approach. You will support practitioners deliver therapeutic interventions to help young people on their recovery journey, this could be through 1-1 work or through group-based interventions.

We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.
