Full Job Description

CARTO and NavX 3-D mapping systems, cryoablation and circular ablation technologies are all available. Currently approximately 900 catheter ablation procedures and 150 ICD procedures are performed annually. Medical Staff in Cardiac Electrophysiology Dr AJ Hogarth Consultant Cardiologist Dr LN Graham Consultant Cardiologist Dr BN Mercer Consultant Cardiologist Dr SP Page Consultant Cardiologist Dr CB Pepper Consultant Cardiologist Dr MH Tayebjee Consultant Cardiologist The Post The post is available full time and is funded for one year. Applications for part-time training will be welcome.

The emphasis will be on training in clinical electrophysiology with participation in audit, departmental research, ward and clinic work. Training and supervision will be offered in all aspects of invasive and non-invasive cardiac electrophysiology by the LGI EP consultants. Job Plan This is a supernumerary clinical post with a major clinical component. It is expected that the working sessions will be based on the following plan: Cardiac catheter lab : 7 sessions Ward work : 1 Session Electrophysiology clinis : 1 Session Research and Audit: 1 sessions On-Call No routine on-call responsibility is included.

Opportunities to contribute to the CCU registrar on call rota will be available on a locum basis. Salary The post will be remunerated at the ST3 Level/MN37. The post holder is required to be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold a licence to practice.
