Full Job Description

  • Manage the effective and accurate delivery of all planned, reactive and programmed maintenance including various project works.

  • Ensure all works are within budget and the home is maintained to the highest standards in line with company policy and other Regulatory Bodies.

  • Manage & develop the maintenance team ensuring a strong & positive team ethic.

  • Manage consistent compliance with company SLA's, KPI's and budgets including up-to-date maintenance records in accordance with company & regulatory body legislation.

  • Be the first point of contact for management and contractors with regards to any facilities issues within the home.

  • You will be commercially minded with the drive to improve your department, developing and implementing preventative and cost reduction initiatives.

  • You will manage and review service contracts to ensure all facility management needs are being met.

  • Conduct in-house training and inductions for staff within the health and safety area.

  • Work with the Directors, Leadership Team and Home Management Team to ensure asset control and registers are accurate.

    As an experienced Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance & projects within the home, outbuildings and grounds.


    • You will be a strong team player who, alongside building great relationships with residents & families, can effectively communicate with your team and other external stakeholders to ensure that tasks are completed on time, in line with budget, and as agreed.,
  • Extensive experience of maintenance work with a passion for DIY

  • A natural people person, talented in building strong relationships on every level.

  • Good leadership skills with previous experience supervising/managing small teams.

  • Strong financial acumen - ability to effectively manage budgets.

  • You will have a flexible approach to working and the ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act

  • Full clean driving license

  • Previous PAT testing & experience of working with Fire Risk Assessment information (Desirable)

  • Relevant vocational qualifications (achieved or working towards) (Advantageous)
