Full Job Description

  • Main duties Provide care to the practice's patients as per the areas listed above. Management of long-term conditions involvement, implementing and using protocols and clinical guidelines

  • Support Infection Prevention Control (IPC) within the practice

  • Deliver Vaccinations and Immunisations (childhood and adult)

  • Assist with the reviewing and the delivery of clinical policies and procedures

  • Ability to monitor, audit, manage maintenance of stock and equipment to include refrigeration, single use equipment and general treatment room equipment

  • Support the practice's fulfilment of the Quality Outcomes Framework and local Quality Improvement Schemes.

  • To take responsibility for own professional development and undertaking training for specific clinical tasks

  • Attend mandatory training courses and updates and any study days as appropriate to post

  • Participate in yearly appraisal, personal development plan and revalidation

    We are a SystmOne practice with an excellent use of IT software such as AccuRx, MS Teams, Video consultations, CtheSigns, Ardens and the use of our clinical software workflow management system.

  • We are a two-site practice based in Ecclesfield (branch site Margetson Surgery) covering a practice population of approximately 8,500 patients, Working at Ecclesfield Group Practice


  • An opportunity has risen to join our friendly team at Ecclesfield Group Practice.

    We are awell-organised teamwith anexcellent established administration and managerial team, providing full support to all clinicians & staff.

    We have a fantastic nursing team, consisting of 3 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses one of whom does research, phlebotomist & HCA, providing full support to our practice GPs.

    We havededicated pharmacy support provided by the Network North Ltd Pharmacist Team(PCN)

    We have good links with the Community Nursing Team (virtual wards)

    We hold weekly clinical meetings with CPD opportunities and peer support.

    We are part of a Well-developed Primary Care Network, working as part of Network North Ltd (PCN)
