Production Assistant

Assists the Production Manager with the administration of the production process to ensure that the factory is running effectively, meeting targets for quality and that production volumes and deadlines are reached. The role requires flexibility and a positive attitude along with meticulous attention to detail the ability to work well within a team., Ensuring BRC standards are maintained

- All paperwork is completed

- Health and safety procedures are adhered to

- Ensure all preventative maintenance targets are achieved

- Quality control

- Supervisory duties

- Assisting with the production planning

- Assisting in identifying production issues

- Attend the daily production meetings

- keeping relevant parties up to date with changes to the production schedule

- Manual handling

- Has undertaken in-house induction

- Completes compulsory training in approved timescales

- Maintains an acceptable work rate and completes duties in a timely way

- Works additional hours, if required, in order to discharge the company's obligations to its customers

- Has good attendance and timekeeping

- Knowledge of an MRP system would be advantageous

- Previous experience working within a busy operations team

- Must have previous experience working in a manufacturing business

- Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
