Full Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and driven Production Chef to join our growing team, supporting the Head Chef to ensure the quality of food items produced meets brand, organisational and legislative requirements.

We are looking to expand our business to be able to offer services for weddings, business meetings, networking events and expos at our premises - and a kitchen team will help to grow this. You will work closely with the Head Chef to build our kitchen team and offering.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team and the Head Chef in cooking for 200+ people at larger events such as: weddings, business meetings, networking events, expo's and more.

  • Support the Head Chef in the preparation and serving of food to our restaurant customers. Following the organisational brand standards and recipe specifications.

  • Helping to measure and prepare the ingredients, following the recipes to produce the chosen menu

  • Staying up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes, improving the culinary offer

  • Maintaining exceptionally high standards of health and safety and hygiene kitchen environments. Ensuring the kitchen remains clean and tidy at all times.

  • Assisting in taking deliveries and checking stock to ensure this remains at sufficient levels

  • Have a thorough and up to date knowledge of the food menu

  • Helping to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen

  • To undertake any other duties as required by the Head Chef to ensure the effective running of the kitchen., To achieve apprenticeship framework (Functional Skills, NVQ and Technical Certificate) within the specified time frame for Production Chef Level 2

  • Attend the apprenticeship induction programme

  • Attend all of the training sessions for the programme whenever necessary, 6 hours off the job training per week.

  • Undertake any other required development work as part of the apprenticeship programme as requested

  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by senior staff.

    Qualifications in English and Maths

  • Basic knowledge of a kitchen and its environment, having a food safety approach at all times

  • A passion to develop their culinary skills at our up-and-coming restaurant

  • Desire to learn in a catering environment.

  • Genuine interest in customer service excellence.
