Full Job Description

We are in search of a vibrant and autonomous Proposal Manager with a keen sense for identifying and developing opportunities. The role is intrinsic to shaping impactful programs, crafting concept papers, managing stakeholders and assembling proposals echoing our mission and vision, thereby enabling IRARA to further extend its humanitarian reach and grow.,

  • Opportunity Identification: Navigate through the humanitarian landscape to identify, analyse, and engage in potential program opportunities and partnership

  • Concept Development: Generate concept papers that thoroughly delineate potential initiatives, underscoring their alignment with organisational goals and humanitarian imperatives.

  • Proposal Development: Lead the drafting, refinement, and submission of persuasive proposals, ensuring coherence with identified opportunities, compliance with donor expectations and which is impactful and articulate while resonating with donor and stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, partner organizations, and affected communities to accumulate insights and support for proposal development.


  • Other tasks include
  • Strategy Development: Support the development of proposal strategies that amplify our success in securing programs, aligning with IRARA's strategic objectives and humanitarian commitments.

  • Compliance Management: Guarantee all proposals adhere rigorously to organizational, donor, and legal guidelines.

  • Feedback Management: Evaluate proposal outcomes, extracting insights to refine and enhance subsequent initiatives.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and communicate a transparent proposal pipeline, ensuring precise tracking and reporting of all opportunities and developments.

    Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, International Development, Communications, or related field

  • Experience: 3years of experience in proposal development, preferably within a humanitarian or non-profit context.

  • Project Management: Proven expertise in managing complex proposals and multi-faceted projects, often within constrained timelines.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Well developed and evidenced capacity to forge and nurture relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, including donors, partners, and affected populations.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a distinct ability to create compelling and empathetic content.

  • Research Skills: Robust research abilities with an emphasis on understanding global humanitarian needs, donor landscapes, and funding requirement

  • Analytical Skills: Aptitude for analyzing opportunities and formulating strategies that conjoin with humanitarian priorities and organizational objectives.
