Full Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers. The candidate will be required to carry out the preparation, testing and reporting of samples.

Duties:

  • Preparing Samples for testing in the lab.

  • Follow instruction on in house procedures under the supervision of Senior staff

  • Use of general laboratory equipment including but not limited to balances, hot plate and various other wet chemical analysis equipment

  • Producing reports for samples tested and input of sample results into the Computer system

  • Assist in the maintenance, servicing, and calibration of equipment in accordance with relevant standards

  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

  • Identify and document any deviations or non-conformities, and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor and maintain quality control records, including documentation of inspections, test results, and product specifications.

  • Collecting production samples. Retaining and cataloguing samples for storage, dispatching analytical samples, monitoring results and taking appropriate actions when results are not within desired tolerances.

  • Collaborate closely with production teams, supervisors and management to address quality concerns promptly.

    Previous experience in a quality control role is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of relevant laboratory operations/standards

  • Able to manage and analyse data, highlighting anomalies and outliers

  • Ability to work unsupervised and to effectively manage time

  • Strong PC and technical knowledge with an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and Teams.
