RAD Ballet Teacher

We are looking for an experienced, passionate RAD Ballet Teacher to help our students learn to dance in a fun and safe environment. An ideal candidate has an RAD qualification or training, a love of dancing and is passionate about helping others enjoy and succeed at dancing. We're looking for a teacher who can provide proper feedback to his or her students and can motivate students to keep attending classes. The correct candidate will be confident in entering students for examinations and preparing for an annual dance show.

The final hour of teaching is a private level 5/6 acro student, so a bonus would be the candidate having an Acrobatic Arts qualification.

Hours available are 4.5 hours between 4-9pm on Mondays, term time only. Opportunities to increase hours in time, if candidate is interested. To start in September 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dance classes.


• Have expert dance technique.


• Have expert musical theatre technique.


• Teach basic dance moves to beginners.


• Teach intermediate and advanced dance steps to intermediate and advanced students.


• Teach students routines for competitions or performances.


Job Types: Part-time, Freelance


• GCSE or equivalent (required)


Experience:

• Dance Teaching: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• DBS (preferred)


• Drivers Licence (preferred)


• Certificate in Insurance (preferred)


• Paediatric First Aid Certification (preferred)


• Safeguarding Certification (preferred)
