Science Technician

Actual annual salary: £19,293 - £19,967

Scale Pay Point 5 (Range 5 -6)

Pattern of hours Monday to Friday 8.00am - 3.45pm plus a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak each day (total 36.25 hours)

Term time only

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and adaptable Science Technician to join our established team of Science Technicians within a school judged by OFSTED as 'Outstanding' in all areas, a school where both student achievement and attitudes to learning are amongst the best in the region. We are looking for someone who has the skills to:

  • prepare apparatus, solutions, material and specimens within Science

  • assist teachers in the setting up and use of equipment in the science laboratories

  • prepare and distribute materials and equipment for students use in practical work and examinations

  • maintain equipment
