Full Job Description

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are looking to recruit a Security Officer to join our dedicated team.

We provide a 24 hour security service across all areas of the hospital site, including the various car parks and outlying buildings.

The vacancy available will work on a shift rota basis, working 2 days from 07.00am to 19.00pm and 2 days from 19.00pm to 07.00am then followed by 4 rest days including weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Working as part of the Security Team, the postholder will provide a comprehensive security service at the hospital sites to all patients, staff and visitors.

The postholder will maintain a secure environment with the aid of Closed Circuit Television undertaking a wide range of duties in accordance with Trust polices and procedures.

The postholder will ensure the safety and protection of patients, staff, visitors, contractors and any other legitimate site users' property against loss, theft, damage and waste.

We provide care and support to over half a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, in community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (in Wakefield).
