Full Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join the fast moving RTR team. The role reports to the RTR GPO and is part of the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC)

The main objectives of the role:

-Act as Finance Business Partner from FSSC to business units, build relationships, maintain controls, act as first point of contact for queries and issues

-Support the RTR GPO by implementing the strategic agenda. Integrate the financial RTR processes into shared service model, addressing organistational and regional differences in practices and performance.

-Day to day management of RTR BAU activities and onshore team. Develop the internal team brand such that key stakeholders have confidence, trust in the team and reflect an honest, open approach to working with the RTR team.

Main Duties

-· Promote, manage and maintain centralised FSSC team activities for business units (BU), acting as business partner to the divisions

·· Support FSSC team activities, balance sheet reviews, checklists and deadlines

· Build strong relationships with outsource provider and all Business Unit finance teams

-Work with the Business Unit finance teams and the outsource provider to ensure service requirements are met, and that any escalations and queries are addressed and resolved.

-Through review and a continuous improvement approach, proactively identify areas for improvement, automation and streamlining.

-Ensure compliance with all relevant internal controls as defined by the Finance Shared Services financial control procedures.

· Manage 3 direct reports in the onshore finance team, embedding a high performance culture through effective performance management and personal development

· Act as the finance expert and first point of contact for all RTR related requirements, queries and issues ensuring their timely resolution

-Support RTR GPO with any ad hoc tasks or projects

Good attention to detail essential

-Strong organisational skills and ability to manage several deliverables within strict deadlines and to meet agrees SLA's

-Ability to implement successful change both locally and across the function

-Good communication skills to enable you to deal with all levels of Mitie staff and clients

-High level of integrity with a commitment to work toward, and support, strong governance culture

-Ability to work under demanding deadlines in a fast paced environment, and perform well under pressure

Experience

-Accounting experience and qualifications essential

-SAP ERP experience preferred

-Demonstrable experience of able to work to tight deadlines, be driven to succeed an enthusiastic team player and have sound working knowledge of accounting processes.

High proficiency in Excel, confident with large data sets
