Solar Installer

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Solar Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing solar panels and associated equipment. You will work closely with our engineering and project management teams to ensure the successful implementation of solar projects.,

• Install solar panels, inverters, and mounting hardware according to industry standards and project specifications.


• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with solar energy systems, including electrical, mechanical, and performance-related issues.


• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.


• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation logs, inspection reports, and service records.


• Serve as the company's nominated technical person for solar energy installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.


• Act as the primary installer for solar energy systems, overseeing all aspects of the installation process from start to finish.


• Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.


• Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure that all installations meet company standards and customer expectations.


• Stay informed about advancements in solar energy technology and best practices, and implement continuous improvements to our installation processes.
  
  Minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar energy industry.


• Proficiency in solar panel installation, wiring, and electrical systems.


• Strong understanding of solar energy principles and system components.


• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to solar energy systems.


• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Valid UK driver's license.


• Valid qualifications in solar PV and energy storage systems, such as:


• Certification from recognized training programs (e.g., NICEIC, NAPIT certification).


• Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications related to solar energy.


• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and safety procedures.


• Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and drawings.


• Commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
