Full Job Description

Hours: 30-35 hrs per week (Monday to Saturday inclusive) at agreed times to cover flexible hours during operating times of 8.00 to 17.00. This will include approximately 4 hrs on a Saturday morning covering ShopMobility in occasion to cover holiday and sickness. Share of on-call cover out of normal hours is also required., Main Responsibilities: To train in many aspects of the business to assist the management team. This is to include operating the telephone booking service and to assist in ShopMobility issuing mobility equipment etc. To train in the scheduling of trip bookings and to provide support to members of staff as directed by the Line Manager. To train to help maintain the fleet of mobility equipment and basic maintenance of the fleet of minibuses. To drive DialaRide minibuses as required.

In this role you will get the opportunity to drive our adapted accessible minibuses. You will be transporting members of the community of Lincoln to appointments, shopping trips, social events, etc. You will help vulnerable people get out and about and fight against social exclusion. Job Requirements: You must be 25+ and have had a full driving licence for at least 2 years.
You would ideally have at least 2 years' experience of driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle. You will need your own transport to be able to travel to different bus depots.
The role requires a HNC or equivalent.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently, using their initiative and must be able to manage their own time and workload well.
Knowledge of the local road network would be advantageous.

Ideal Candidate: This role does require a caring disposition with a friendly approach, good people skills with a desire to make a positive difference to people's lives will do great in this role. A full enhanced DBS check is required for this role and a short online Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding Course must be completed.
