Vehicle Technician / HGV Mechanic

We are seeking a full time skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team. In this role you will share the responsibilities for the maintenance and repair of the Groups fleet of HGV's and Vans and Trailers ensuring that they are roadworthy and safe for use.

Responsibilities:

- Carry out maintenance and repairs on the Groups Fleet of vehicles and Trailers. To include HGV safty inspections to DVSA standards.

-Prepare vehicles for annual MOT test.

- Diagnose and repair faults on HGV's using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
-Complete all neccesssary paperwork and documentation accurately to ensure any statistics and legal information are available in the Groups Maintenance files.
- Liaise with drivers and other staff to ensure that vehicles are available for use when required.

Proven experience as a HGV Mechanic.
- Excellent Knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair process.
- Strong Diagnostic skills and the ability to diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment provided.

-ability to carry out welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.

-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
-A full UK driving licence

-HGV driving licence prefered but not essential.
