  • Able to work in a small but dynamic team to ensure the successful delivery of Bury

  • Blind Society's activities?, We are Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People, a small, registered charity
    base in Bury, Lancashire. We are looking to recruit a part time Development Worker for
    visually impaired, for 21 hours per week to work as part of our small, committed staff
    team and alongside over 80 dedicated volunteers. The purpose of this new and exciting
    role is to continue the good work already underway and develop this further through:
  • consulting effectively with existing and potential service users alongside local

  • people/ groups to explore opportunities for inclusion for people with sight loss
  • Establish and maintain new partnerships

  • Recruit, manage and retain a team of dedicated project-specific volunteers

  • Deliver training and awareness sessions

    We need you to have great organisational skills, be an excellent communicator and have

  • confidence in using digital technology and IT. Most importantly of all, you need to have a
    'can do', attitude and love making a difference!
