VOG910 Personal Assistant

I am an 89 year old gentleman living in the Bridgend area. I am easy going and have a good sense of humour. I enjoy bird watching which is a big part of my day. I need support at home with general house hold tasks as I am unsteady on my feet and get out of breath easily. I have various diagnoses including COPD, arthritis and Glaucoma. I need help with creaming my feet and assisting me with eye drops. I like going to Age connect meetings to socialise in the community., To support me at home and support within the Community., Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK

3.5 hours which are flexible and can be discussed at interview stage. (Currently split over 3 days including a Saturday)

This is a temporary position to cover long term sickness but could lead to a permanent position.
