Warehouse Operative - Immediate Start

Metals4U is a highly successful business with over 20 years' experience of supplying trade and domestic customers with a wide range of metal and plastic products, including made to order items cut to size in our warehouse. Our success has been built not only on the quality of our products but on the outstanding service we provide and the knowledge, experience and dedication of our valued workforce.

Orders are received via the internet, processed by our customer service team and then prepared, packed and dispatched by our warehouse team who work across a range of shift patterns. The work is varied with the opportunity for gaining a range of skills, including machine operation and forklift truck driving, and progression within the company.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking to appoint a number of operatives to pick, cut, pack and distribute orders. You will have the opportunity to undertake a wide range of duties including:

• Accurately picking, packing and checking orders


• Loading vehicles for dispatch of orders


• Receiving stock deliveries - unloading, storage and stock allocation


• Lifting and moving products


• Cutting made to measure items using a band saw and/or guillotine (full training provided)


• Forklift truck driving (full training provided with qualification)


• Keeping the working environment neat, clean and tidy


• Adhering to strict health & safety rules at all times

You will be able to demonstrate a good work ethic, excellent standards of housekeeping, time keeping and attendance and be willing to learn new things. Previous experience is not essential. Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm rotating weekly.

Salary: Starting £12 per hour to £12.68 per hour including shift allowance
